 N.I.C.E.  MINUTES

 

NICE Meeting

06-04-07

 

The meeting was called to order at 8:05 PM by President Bill Hilderbrand.  Those present were;

Fred & Lois Satterthwaite, Rick & Sheana Godwin, Rachel Miller, Matt & Rachel Dennis, Jeremy Billman, Asonjia Stewart, and Sarah Martin. 

 

Sheana moved that the agenda be approved as submitted, Lois seconded, MOTION CARRIED.

 

Rick moved that the minutes be approved as received, Fred seconded, MOTION CARRIED.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

  • Udall School Signs – No report
  • Udall Expo – No report
  • Non – Profit – Rick moved we table this item, Sheana seconded, MOTION CARRIED.
  • Benches for park – No report
  • Lily’s corner – The dedication went very well. 

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

  • Auction – Bill Hilderbrand made some suggestion for next years auction:
  • Yard of the Month - June Yard of the month winner is Paul Banks at 310 West 4th Udall.
  • Flower Beds – Per Rachel and Sarah the flower beds have had the weeds pulled, more flowers planted and mulch spread.  Rachel would like to plant some more buffalo grass in the areas that is bare at the triangle.
  • Amphitheater – Bill report that the City Council tabled the amphitheater. 
  • Recycle – Matt Dennis will be in charge of the recycle dumpster.
  • 4th of July – Sheana reported that the entertainment will last about 1 hour.
  • Fall Festival – Asonjia reported that the Udall Community Building auxiliary has not met.
  • Christmas Lightning – Nothing to report
  • Udall Planning Commission Meeting – No report
  • Volunteer of the Year – Volunteer of the Year – Application have been in the City Chit Chat, Wheat State Telephone and displayed at area businesses.  Deadline will be June 25th.  Sheana moved that we award the Volunteer of the Year a $50.00 gift certificate. Rachel seconded, MOTION CARRIED.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

Rachel suggested that we buy some Thompson Water Seal and paint the plaques at the memorial trees.  Rachel, Lois, Sarah and anyone else, will take on that project. 

 

Fred moved that the meeting be adjourned.  Seconded by Sheana, MOTION CARRIED,

 

Meeting adjourned at 9:05 pm . 

 

Next NICE meeting will be on July 2nd at 8:00 in the Udall City Council meeting room.
